New F100 Rule Supplement and Schedule Update

RULE SUPPLEMENT
F100 has released their 2015 F100 Rule Supplement. The 2015 Rule Supplement is mostly the same as in 2014, except that it has been shortened significantly as many extraneous rules have been removed. Beyond the deletion of some rules, there are 3 changes that are of note.

1st, F100 will utilize IKF engine rules for the KPV/HPV. There are very few differences between IKF rules and the NKA rules that were run last year, and for most racers this will have no effect as their engines are already built to IKF specifications. Engines built to NKA rules will still be allowed to compete in F100 classes in 2015 with additional weight added. More information will be available with the release of the 2015 class structure.

2nd, USED MG SK "White" tires, as used in SKUSA and LAKC competition, are now legal for Novice level classes. Please note that new MG "White" tires are not allowed in any F100 class.

3rd, F100 has expanded the number of 2-stroke oils approved for use. Oil from Burris, Maxima, Motul, Redline and more are now F100 legal for use in all classes.

Check out the rest of the 2015 Rule Supplement at the following link:

MEMBERSHIP
2015 membership information has also been released, and memberships will be available for purchase very soon. F100 has added 3 new types of memberships to the membership options for 2015.

Last year's standard membership, now known as a Silver level membership, is still the same price at $50.

Along with the Silver level, F100 has added a Bronze, Gold and Platinum level membership. The Bronze level membership allows racers to be included in the F100 points championship, while the Gold and Platinum level memberships provide access to the Bridgestone tire group buy, which will provide significant savings on YLC tires. Platinum level members also receive a complete set of custom F100 number panels. Check out the membership information at the following link:

SCHEDULE
F100 has updated the 2015 season schedule with race dates for both Grange events. F100 will take to the track at Grange on May 16th and November 29th in 2015. More information on the July F100 event will be available very soon. Check out the schedule information at the following link:

More information about F100, including 2015 class structure, 2014 awards ceremony and the introduction of new F100 classes coming soon; stay tuned!

Parilla Sudam/Nordam: The 100cc Spirit of Pure Kart Racing Lives On!

With all the fuss recently about the new and expensive X30 engine and upgrades for the Rotax Max, the Fast 100 Karting Blog felt it was a good time to re-introduce readers to the beauty and affordability of direct drive simplicity!  This engine is 125cc direct drive motor and it is used in South America a great deal because it is so cheap to run, in comparison to other engines of similar power levels.  With over 33hp on tap, these engines easily outpower a TaG motor, which generally has around 28hp, such as an X30 or Rotax, without the fuss of electronics, on board batteries and expensive clutch parts.  This engine brings back memories of old school ICA power and purity!  Pure karting at its best!

The Formula 100 Karting Series and Tri-C Karters Form Partnership for 2015 Season!

Tri-CKarters and The Formula 100 Karting Series will be partnering for the 2015 race season at CalSpeed in Fontana, CA. This unique arrangement will have both Tri-C and F100 race programs run together during the Calspeed race day. In addition, F100 will run additional “away” races during months where there are no Calspeed events, providing even more affordable racing action for 100cc racers!

Tri-C race classes will include Kid Kart Honda, Jr. 1 Comer, World Formula, TAG Sr., TAG Masters and a Shifter Open class, known as the Socal Shifter Kart Series.

F100 will provide classes for 100cc engines, the KPV and the KT100. KPV1, KPV2, KPV3, 100cc Sr, KPV4 Heavy, KT100 Super Sportsman and many more 100cc engine packages will find a home in F100 classes in 2015!

During the joint race days, each club will handle the registration, championship race points and trophies for its designated classes.  Club membership purchased through one club will allow racers to run for championship points in classes in both clubs. This will allow for racers who want to race multiple classes to still earn championship points in both clubs.

With the current fractured state of karting in Southern California this partnership will build upon the strengths of both clubs and make them stronger going into the future, ensuring financial stability and a welcoming place for new karters and veterans to enjoy the sport of karting.

What benefits does the racer get?
- A top-notch, professional race staff dedicated to fair competition.
- The most racing laps of any group in Southern California.
- A family friendly atmosphere that emphasizes why we race karts: fun, fair and competitive.
- And don’t forget the free coffee & donuts at the driver’s meeting!

If you have any questions please email Tri-C Karters or F100 for more information.

F100 Adds Pre-Entry Form to Increase Efficiency and Maximize Track Time for Racers!

The Formula 100 Karting Series is excited to announce the addition of a simple, online and free pre-entry form for our racers. The pre-entry form is designed to provide racers a way to save time on race day. Instead of filling out a form and waiting in line, racers will now be able to fill in their information online, before the event, and have their entry items waiting for them to pick up on race day. Simply fill out the form, head to the track, check in at the registration office upon arrival, pay for your items, and you are all set! Its that easy!

The pre-entry form is not binding, and no payments are taken online before race day, so its a win-win for racers. Racers can claim their spot without any repercussions if something were to come up and they are not able to make the event. F100 does ask that racers not abuse this privilege, and to please follow through on your attendance choices. The F100 pre-entry form is designed for the benefit of our racers, to maximize their track time.

F100 pre-entry opens approximately 4 weeks before the event, and runs until the Wednesday prior to the event. You can find the F100 pre-entry form at the following link:
