Now that everyone has been introduced to Australian dirt road course kart racing, its time to introduce the Southern California version of the sport. This looks really cool, kind of like rallycross racing with karts, and with actual racing not just time trials. It would be really fun to try, and 100cc racers will have a chance to do so this season with Socalovalkarters. Check out their website, http://www.socalovalkarters.com/schedule.htm, for information on their class offerings and season schedule. The dates for the road course races are June 1st and November 16th, and both road course races will be held at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, CA. PAS, as the dirt racers like to call it, is just a stones throw from Apex Kart Track. Check out the videos to get an idea of what Socal dirt road course karting is all about.

Formula 100 Karting Series Round #2; Battle in the Desert!

The beautiful Willow Springs Kart Track hosted Round #2 of The Formula 100 Karting Series 2013 season. Another excellent group of racers showed up early Saturday morning to battle the heat of the desert and their opponents on track. The brave racers who made the trek were incredibly well prepared for the task at hand, as fast lap times were recorded in each class. Compared to the lap times in the 2012 F100 Willow Springs event, the 2013 lap times were almost a full second faster, showing the progress in both driving and tuning skill that comes with the seat time that racers get when racing with F100.
